Setting an example of the success women can achieve through dedication and hard work, Barbara "Charlee" Quinlan, owner of FlowerMart in Jupiter, Florida, received the Orchid Award from the Women in Business Group at the JTJB Chamber of Commerce Annual Leadership Luncheon.
Given each year to a woman who owns or manages a business and is committed to both volunteerism and enhancing women's lives through work and family, the Orchid Award honors Charlee's outstanding community

involvement while building a successful business that has 11 full-time employees.
Now, in its 7th year under Charlee's ownership, FlowerMart has been previously recognized as the #1 flower shop in Northern Palm Beach County by readers of the Jupiter Courier. "I grew up in Palm Beach County and make my home in Jupiter. So many wonderful people from the area have enhanced my life. I feel it's important to give back to the community. This recognition is important, because it says we're doing it right," said Charlee.

The local ABC affiliate, WPBF-TV 25, held a 9-week contest to determine the best businesses in the Palm Beach County - Treasure Coast area of Florida. More than 1,000 businesses competed in 90 different categories. 14 florists were nominated to participate in the competition. 21,000 votes later, FlowerMart was voted #1.
